My journey to one of the most prestigious schools in the United States, Phillips Exeter Academy, began in a different country altogether. My family moved to the United States when I was just 1.3 years old. We settled in San Diego, where I currently live and attend a school affiliated with the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). From an early age, I was immersed in an educational environment that was both challenging and rewarding. I always thought my school’s curriculum was tough because we have teachers from UCSD who bring a high level of expertise and academic rigor to our classrooms.

Applying to Phillips Exeter Academy

This year, I decided to push my limits even further by applying for a summer program at Phillips Exeter Academy. Known for its rigorous academic programs and notable alumni, Exeter has always been a dream for many students, including myself. The application process was intense, requiring a strong academic record, personal essays, and recommendations.
