Katrin is a dedicated and driven student at The Preuss School UCSD, where she excels academically and takes on leadership roles with remarkable passion. As the President of the social club “100 Wonders”, she inspires peers to make a difference, spearheading initiatives like the Empowered Future Initiative to mentor young girls from low-income and underserved communities in leadership skills.

A tireless volunteer, Katrin is committed to giving back to her community. She organizes and leads park and beach clean-ups, mentors others, and continually seeks ways to create a positive impact. Her dedication to service and leadership has earned her several scholarships, including a prestigious summer program at Phillips Exeter Academy, where she completed a leadership program with excellence.

Katrin’s passion for science and community service has driven her to participate in initiatives such as Women in STEAM. Recently, she was accepted into the highly selective BE WiSE (Better Education for Women in Science and Engineering) program, a five-year initiative that fosters the next generation of women leaders in STEM fields.

Outside of academics and volunteering, Katrin is an accomplished squash player and an event organizer, seamlessly balancing her extracurricular activities with her academic goals. With aspirations to become a surgeon, Katrin plans to use her skills to improve the lives of others while continuing to uplift her community.
